Minutes – Discussion/Decisions/Action Items

Vishnu Muddu - Moderated the teleconference.

Ramreddy - introduced the Guest Speaker Dr.G Srinivas Reddy - He is the Principal of Arts&Science college,Hanamkonda, Former controller of exams, Former registrar of kakatiya university,dynamic Professor of over 30 years of teaching and admin experience and Best Teacher award winner for year 2006. Dr.G Srinivas Reddy is from Timmapur, Warangal , He is currently in New Jersey USA on visit.

Dr.G Srinivas Reddy - Principal of Arts&Science college,Hanamkonda

Expressed his views on the warangal district current situation, he said the development of warangal district has been neglected even it has a good educational , tourism and commuting base.

He emphasized that the Political system must effectively work for the growth and development by bringing more Industries. He said that warangal nri’s should chose to spend more money by investing in warangal.

He requested that NRI's staying in abroad should more concentrate for the betterment of our district , when ever they visit Warangal they should spend some time and efforts by giving seminars, presentations for the students in warangal so that they will be benefited by choosing their career in right direction.

Dr.G Srinivas Reddy garu officered to provide the Infrastructure at the Arts&Science college,Hanamkonda for conducting such events for benefiting the students.

Buchi Reddy - garu has asked the Dr.G Srinivas Reddy garu about having an NRI Liaison cell (at least one person with an office room and a phone) at the Arts&Science college,Hanamkonda, so that this serves dedicatedly to Identify the needs in Warangal and communicate to NRI's to work on the Projects.

Dr.G Srinivas Reddy garu showed his willingness to provide that with facility.

Further action plan will be to follow with Mr.Dr.G Srinivas Reddy garu and workout on that.

All attendees - participated in the discussions and questions with Dr.G Srinivas Reddy.

• They Emphasizes that the more companies should come to warangal for campus placements. Educational institutions should work hard to get more companies for selecting their students through campus placements.

• Try to work with politicians and officials to get more more Investments and Industrial development in warangal district.

• NRI's should find out the leads for contacting bigger companies and influence them to invest in Warangal.

• Movies should censor and discourage projecting teachers as a funny Joker characters. Teachers are the role models for students for building their character and life path. And teachers should be respected in a good way.

About conducting the annual Events of the Warangal NRI Organizations.

All the attendees are in opinion for conducting various events in the USA & Warangal in the month of April/May. This also marks the one year annual formation of the Warangal NRI Organization. Depending upon the members participation at various places the events should be conducted.

As of today following members volunteered to take leads in the following areas.

1. Vishnu Muddu and Satish Reddy - volunteered to co-ordinate the events in the Chicago, IL area.

2. Ram Reddy - volunteered to co-ordinate the events in the Detroit, MI area

3. Swaroop Kunduru - volunteered to co-ordinate the events in the Dallas, TX area

4. Jaya Ganta - volunteered to co-ordinate the events in the Hartford, CT area

5. Satyapal Guduru - volunteered to co-ordinate the events in the San Diego - CA area

Action Items:

• Active Members of the group to work closely with Principal of Arts&Science college,Hanamkonda for setting up NRI Cell.

• Vishnu Muddu to publish on the yahoo groups to Invite more members to come up for conducting the annual Events of the Warangal NRI Organizations at various locations in USA and Warangal.
